ADVANTAGE”

The Seminar was inaugurated By Mr. S. P. Chauhan, Chairman NAFFCO,
Government of India, as the Chief Guest , Guest Of Honour - Prof. D.D.
Arora, Chairman – Department of Business Administration, Kurukshetra
University, Kurukshetra along with the Chairman Lala Nemi Chand Educational
trust - Sh. M.L. Gupta, Director – N.C. College of Engineering, Prof. (Dr.)
B.R. Marwah and the Advisor Board of Governors, Lala Nemi Chand Educational
Trust – Prof. (Dr.) B. L. Doopar.
More than 120 Delegates from
the Academics, Research scholars, Students, Corporate, Research
Agencies, NGO’s etc. participated in the form of contribution of research papers and
articles .
Prof. S.k. Narang set the seminar open through his talk discussing the
seminar theme.
The Inaugural session was enlightened by Prof. Harish Paruthi - Former
Chief Executive of Lindeteves
Jacoberg, Singapore & Former GM L&T
International
Operations. He spoke on the road to Rural India through Various competitive
strategies adopted by the Industry. He highlighted the Vision 2020 as
envisioned by Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam and Dr. Manmohan Singh and built a
link between the dream and the reality and discussed the route to build
such gap.
As the Key Note speaker Mr. Navjot Warraich, TechnoLegal Expert,
Manager – Himalaya Public School & Himalaya College Of Education,
Karnal discussed the Legal issues involved in the Marketing to Rural India.
He also shared the changing Indian legal procedure and linked Rural India
with the latest developments in Science and Technology.
Chairperson
of the First Technical Session , Prof. (Dr.) Dilip Singh Senior Prof.
IMSAR, Maharishi Dayanad University, introduced the concept of Rural
Marketing and the various strategies available with the industries to reach
the unreached segment of the country. Dr. N.S. Gill, Chairman- Director of Department of
Distance Education, MDU, Rohtak was the first Key Note speaker of the
session and he shared the role, importance and the growth and application
of Technology in the Rural areas of the country.
Mr. Chetan
Mohan – Corporate Trainer-Abhishek Industries, Ludhiana was the second Key
Note Speaker and enlightened the session by discussing some case studies of
successfully positioned National Brands of the Indian market.
There was
presentations made by the Resource persons from academics after the key
note speakers. The session was concluded by the Chairperson summarizing the
presentations and discussion on the topic.
The second
Technical session was chaired by Prof. (Dr.) S.K. Bedi, Head – MBA -Business Economics, MDU Rohtak. The
discussion was sparked by two Key note speakers Prof. J.S. Saini, Head –
Rural Development – NITTTR, Chandigarh, who brought to light the various
efforts being made by the Technical department especially the Polytechnic
scheme to reach the rural masses for their upliftment and betterment. Mr.
Naushad Alam – Asstt. Vice President, UTI Bank, Panipat threw some thought
provoking questions on the manner of reaching the rural consumers and the
ethical decision making in the process.
Corporate
delegates made the paper presentation and some of the selected papers of
the students were also shared.
After the summary of the session and discussion , prizes were given
for the best paper in the three segments: Dr. Parul Bhatnagar, DayalBagh
Educational Institute, Agra was given the prize for the Best paper in the
academicians category; Ms. Deepti Chug, HCL Technologies , NOIDA bagged the first prize in the Corporate
segment , while Ms. Aanchal , MBA IInd yr NCCE, was given the first prize
for paper presentation in the student category.
The One day seminar ended with a Vote of thanks from Prof. A.
K. Gupta, NCCE.
