Nature and Extent of involvement of faculty and students in academic affairs/improvements.

 

1. The College is having a democratic and transparent system in which the faculty and students are actively involved in academic and non-academic affairs so as to improve the quality of education.

Involvement of the faculty in academic affairs is of the following nature:

Preparation of course material for regular and specialized courses,

»

Interaction with faculty of other top technical institutes and invite them for Guest Lectures.

»

Presentation of seminars on technical aspects in different departments.

»

Presentation of technical papers in inter departmental and inter institutional competitions and conferences.

»

Involvement in the administrative academic activities and maintenance of labs, preparation of timetable and conduct of College and University examinations.

»

College is having very active Academic Monitoring Cell to monitor the
performance of the students. Faculty members are directly associated with this activity.

»

Students Counselling Work to provide counselling to the students who are academically deficient.

»

Involvements in the Training & Placement activities of the students.

 

 

Students of the College are involved in the following academic activities:

»

As active members of the professional societies in the different
departments and in arranging for technical competitions.

»

Help the Training & Placement Office to arrange for training and placement of the students.

»

Provide feedback to the department and institution administration with respect to the running of the courses and labs.

»

Provide the feed back to the administration for the assessment of the teachers in different courses.
