DEPARTMENT OF MANAGEMENT STUDIES

Keeping this in mind, the Department of Management Studies was started in the year 2004 and is now following the Autonomous system under Kurukshetra University.

CAREER OPPORTUNITIES
Business Managers have multiple career options in both public and private sectors. Banks, financial institutions, corporate houses, government departments and industries are prime recruiters of business managers. Media, publishing and public relation firms also employ a large number of business managers. Export and import companies and investment firms are also an option available to these professionals. NGOs working in the field of rural development and environment management also recruit a number of business managers. Business management professionals also can opt to become entrepreneurs. Moreover, consultancy is also a viable and remunerative option open to them.

SPECIALISATION
The Department of Management Studies offers specialization in the fields of Marketing, Finance, Human Resource Management, International Business, and Information Technology.

TEACHING METHODOLOGY
There is a balance in techniques of teaching and learning process. A rigorous core curriculum has been designed and is updated regularly. It is a blend of lectures, case studies, seminars, live projects, summer training, group assignments and special lectures by professionals from industry and academia so that our students are fully equipped with all the necessary skills that a manager should possess. The different teaching methods enable students to master both theoretical and practical components in a lively and interesting way. The aim is to develop student’s knowledge of the course as well as their analytical skills, research competency and presentation skills with the overall emphasis on learning. Modern teaching aids such as overhead and LCD projectors, interactive boards are used.

Students’ Life at Department of Management Studies extends far beyond the classroom walls. The MBA program at NCCE provides numerous opportunities for students to participate in a wide variety of extra and co- curricular activities.

VISTA- STUDENTS’ PROFESSIONAL SOCIETY
The Vista students’ professional society helps the students in developing their managerial skills. Under this society the students are encouraged to organize events on their own under the guidance of the faculty. Many successful events including the Inquizitive a state level quiz competition, Debate and Declamation Competition, Ad Mad Shows, Paper Presentations etc have been organized by this society.

COMMUNITY SERVICE
The department is also undertaking social responsibility through the collective initiative of the Students, Teachers and the staff to bring in a positive change in the society. Many events like an awareness drive for Green Diwali at Mittal Mega Mall at Panipat, Blood Donation Camps, and poster–making competitions on various social issues and Fund Raising for CRY etc. have been organized in this regard.

Nipun Wadhawan Batch 2005-07 Senior Executive Finance and Accounts HCL Great Britain London (UK)	The date (08.08.2005) I still remember when it was my first day with N.C. college.  I was feeling very lonley as was away from home. But at that time my faculty made me comfortable, also encouraged me for my decision of selecting the best College for my PG. In My views N. C. College is just temple of knowledge. The staff, the environment, the culture last but not least your mates are simply Awesome. College gave me very special and unforgettable memories, which i can never forget in my life. As in Batch (2005 to 2007), was the only one who got Placement in HCL Technologies Ltd.,(Gurgaon) as an Academic Trainee , before my final semester.  In a nutshell, I would like to thank all my teachers for supporting me in each of steps.
